Our Falls Prevention Program is a structured 10-week exercise program designed to help improve balance, strength, mobility, and confidence. The program is delivered by accredited exercise physiologists and is tailored to your individual needs and ability level.

This program is ideal for adults who:
Have experienced a fall or near fall.
Feel unsteady when walking or standing.
Have noticed a decline in their balance or strength.
Want to remain independent and active.
Have been advised by their GP or health professional to improve their balance and reduce their risk of falling.

The program runs for 10 weeks, allowing enough time to build strength, improve balance, and develop safe movement strategies that can be continued beyond the program.

Your first session includes a comprehensive assessment of your balance, strength, mobility, walking pattern, medical history, and falls risk. We will discuss your goals and develop an individualised exercise plan.

Exercises may include:
Balance training
Lower body strengthening
Walking and mobility exercises
Functional movements such as sitting, standing, and stepping
Coordination and reaction training
Flexibility exercises
All exercises are progressed at a pace that is safe and appropriate for you.

No. The program is designed for people of all fitness levels. Your exercises are individually tailored and gradually progressed as your confidence and ability improve.

Yes. Exercise sessions are supervised by accredited exercise physiologists who ensure exercises are performed safely and are modified to suit your health conditions, mobility, and current ability.

Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely and supportive, enclosed shoes with good grip. Bring your walking aid if you normally use one.

Absolutely. Many participants use mobility aids. Our exercise physiologists will ensure the program is adapted to meet your individual needs while helping you build confidence and improve mobility.

Yes. You'll receive a personalised home exercise program to complement your supervised sessions. Regular practice at home helps maximise your results throughout the 10 weeks.

A referral is not always required to participate. However, if you plan to claim through Medicare, the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA), WorkCover, or another funding provider, a referral may be necessary. Our team can help you understand your eligibility.

Depending on your level of extras cover, you may be able to claim exercise physiology services through your private health fund. We recommend checking directly with your insurer.
